Bucktoe Creek Preserve
Birdwatching at Bucktoe Creek Preserve in PA. White Breasted Nuthatch. At first, I thought he was a woodpecker because he would peck under the bark of the tree. Turns out they use the tree bark as a nutcracker. After pushing nuts or acorns into the bark, they crack the seed out by striking at it with their sharp beaks.
